This role is responsible for identifying and contacting prospective and current sponsors for Samford Athletics. The goal is to sale the assets that we have to promote their businesses within our venues. We would have tangible goals assigned to the development of our book of business. Managing the relationship, coordinating the payments, and executing the specifics of a contract with the External Affairs team would be required.

The priorities would be to assist in the renewals of current sponsors that have been identified as critical to our program.

• Assist in the engagement of sponsors to coordinate conversations, visits, and other items related to the management of the relationship that are conducive to creating a great experience for our partner while generating the revenue for our department.
• Researching the companies financial capacity, strategic goals, and priorities would be needed in order to effectively prospect and propose value adding opportunities to partner with SU Athletics.
• Provide support material for meetings with internal stakeholders at least bi-weekly to assist in clear communication and coordination of assets sold and execution of contractual obligations.
• There will be sales goals for revenue generated assigned to the roles along with expense management responsibilities.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Current, valid driver's license.
• Must able to lift at least 20 pounds and assist in game day event set up activities.
• Must be available to work some nights and weekends, as needed.
• Must be highly driven and organized.

• The ability to connect and communicate to all levels of internal and external partners.
• Knowledge of Samford Athletics would be a bonus attribute due to the nature of the sale.
• Experience in sales or sports marketing/management and fundraising, preferred.
